Who Is Scott Bauer?
There’s no denying the fact that Scott Bauer is a highly regarded professional in the stock trading world.
His trading journey dates as far back as 1991 when he took up a clerk position at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). This was three years after graduating from the University of Illinois Business School with Honors in B.S.Finance.
Within six years of working as a clerk, he had earned himself the special recognition of being the only trader from CBOE to ever trade in Amazon.com options. His time at the CBOE also entailed serving in an array of committees – most notably, Market Performance and Arbitration.
Not long after his trading career kicked off, he partnered with four experts to establish BOTTA Capital Management. He and his co-founders managed to expand the firm to a crew of 100+ traders with stakes in four different Options Exchanges.
Bauer’s trading experience is pretty extensive. He has traded with corporate giants, from the Bank of America to Delta Airlines, Coca Cola and the American International Group.
Part of his trading journey also involves working for Goldman Sachs & Co. where he was the Vice President of the Equities Division.
Although Bauer is known primarily for his vast floor trading experience, he is also prominent for his tutorials. Prosper Trading Academy Reviews – What Others Are Saying About It
The Prosper Trading Academy has one of the most professional-looking websites. This, and the fact that several of the coaches are featured in prominent news media, proves that PTA is reputable.
That said, a quick search on the Internet shows the program attracts mixed reviews. Most subscribers loved the depth of the trading courses. Others, however, have openly expressed their disappointment in it. Here are a few examples:
No refund and sketchy warranty policy:
This customer was frustrated that he could not get a refund. He also felt coerced into signing up for the service.
Considering how expensive their courses are, it would help to have a refund policy or exit strategy. This way, you can opt out with ease whenever you want to.
Course is tailored for veteran traders:
This reviewer reiterates the fact that the company reps oversell the courses. As such, they’ve advised buyers not to shy away from asking questions before deciding to invest in them. They also pointed out that PTA courses are better suited for seasoned traders and not beginners.
Prosper Trading Academy – Is It Worth It?
Like most trading programs, Prosper Trading Academy has its fair share of merits and demerits. The good news is that it’s a completely legit platform that helps traders gain valuable information through its courses. That said, it would be nice if the academy provided a wider variety of affordable courses for beginners.
I’d also like to caution buyers against making any blind investments. Don’t buy any of the courses unless you’re ready to learn. To get maximum value, you’ll need to invest a ton of time as well. You’ll have to watch the tutorials and also the live trading sessions to see how the coaches apply their trading tactics. So is Prosper Trading Academy worth it? Yes, it is. But only if you invest your time.
