The world of stock trading is a roller-coaster. It’s equal parts exciting and daunting. On the one hand, it gives traders a chance to accumulate wealth over a period of time. On the other hand, the trading market is very volatile, presenting a high risk of incurring losses.
If you want to become a successful trader, learn all the ins and outs of this sector. This way, you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into. That’s where trading courses like the Learn Plan Profit come in handy.
Before we go any deeper into the Learn Plan Profit course, I want to make one thing clear: If you don’t already have a lot of extra MONTHLY cash, you aren’t ready for this program! Why do I say this? First, you need to have cash to buy the program AND a significant amount of extra MONTHLY money to start trading with after that. Do not invest money that you can’t afford to lose. Look up Dan Lok’s wealth triangle. It is basic financial advice: 1) Build a business or get a job that makes you a significant surplus every month (like thousands of extra dollars monthly). 2) After you are making $10,000 per month, then, you’re ready to dive into investing.
That’s why I recommend building a profitable business FIRST. It is easier than you think. Doing this is less work, less risky, and less expensive, than investing. IN FACT, our recommended solution below even works for teenagers! They do the whole thing via email, no phone calls required. Click here to get a Free Video On This Business Model. I’ve been doing this for almost 20 years. My own kids are using this course to setup autopilot businesses online that require very little ongoing work.
Here’s a video of my daughter’s business using this :

The course my daughter used above is much better than the Learn Plan Profit course. But since you are here to learn about Learn Plan Profit, lets get back to our review of that:
Created by Ricky Gutierrez, the 12-chapter course promises to be the perfect roadmap for beginner traders. The question is, does this course deliver on its promise? This review helps you find answers to this and more questions. Let’s dig in:
Who Is Ricky Gutierrez?
Ricky Gutierrez, who was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona, is the proud owner of Techbud Solutions. Techbud is an online-based platform that provides budding entrepreneurs with resourceful financial information.
Even though he doesn’t have a ton of experience under his belt, Gutierrez has proven he’s a force to be reckoned with in the trading sector. He has garnered a massive following on all his social media channels.
He’s very entrepreneurial too, as he’s ventured into other businesses. Although he is mostly known for his success in the stock market, he also flips cars and invests in real estate.
What Is Learn Plan Profit?
Out of curiosity, I have watched several of Ricky’s YouTube videos and gone through some of his Facebook content. I wanted to know what the hype about this course was all about. And with everyone claiming to have the best trading course, I wanted to take a deep dive and determine whether LPP is as good as advertised.
The Learn Plan Profit is a starter trading course, meaning it’s designed with newbie traders in mind. It’s pretty comprehensive, consisting of 80+ videos. Completing the entire course requires at least six hours of viewing time.
When the course was released six years ago, it had five main chapters as follows:
- Mastering the Market
- Indicators and Best Practices
- Mindset for Success
- The Mechanics of Trading
- Swing Trading
It has since been updated with new information. The new course, which now contains seven chapters, has been dubbed “Learn Plan Profit 2.0”.
What I love about this new version is that it’s more organized and doubles up as a curriculum and resource for experienced traders. Here’s a quick breakdown of the eight modules and bonus chapter included in this course:
Chapter 1: Welcome
This section is simply an introduction to the course. This is where you’ll learn how to access Ricky’s private chat group, the Learn Plan Profit Discord.
Chapter 2: Brokerages
Ricky uses Webull as his primary brokerage platform. So in this chapter, he guides traders on how to open their own Webull accounts.
Now, opening this account is not that complicated. But ensuring that everything is configured correctly is a tall order. There are dozens of settings and alternatives to pick from, making the process daunting for beginners. Thankfully, Ricky explores every step involved in the setup.
Chapter 3: Basics of Trading
Comprising 19 tutorials, this is probably the longest chapter. But that’s because it serves as an introduction to so many trading concepts. Besides, each tutorial lasts for just a few minutes.
Ricky begins by defining stocks and recommending the amount of money to invest when you’re starting.
More importantly though, Ricky explains a key term in each of the 19 videos. Before you think of putting your money into stock trading, you should familiarize yourself with this jargon. So the fact that this chapter covers so many trading terms is a plus!
Chapter 4: Indicators
This module is dedicated to indicators and patterns of trading. If you watch Ricky’s other YouTube videos, you’ll notice that he mentions indicators frequently.
This can be explained by his preference for technical trading. This simply means that he gauges the market performance using these indicators so he can make informed decisions.
Usually, other traders wait to see the impact of different trading events on their stocks to make decisions.
So in this section, Ricky takes a deep dive into some popular indicators, specifically,
- VWAP
- RSI
- MACD
- Moving Averages
Chapter 5: Order Types
In this chapter, you’ll learn six of the most common stock market order types, namely:
- Market Order
- Limit Order
- Stop Loss
- Stop Limit
- Trailing Stop
- OCO Bracket
You will learn how each order type operates and how to configure these orders in your Webull account.
Chapter 6: Swing Trading
If it’s your first time hearing about swing trading, this chapter is for you. It introduces the concept, and even provides several examples to help you understand better.
Chapter 7: Day Trading
Day trading is when an individual holds a stock for just one day before disposing of it. You’ll get to learn how to go about this, especially when it comes to recognizing potential day trading setups.
Chapter 8: Investing
If you’re not certain of what investing means, this chapter provides a detailed insight into it. Ricky not only defines the concept but also illustrates using different examples. He also enlightens you on identifying potential investment opportunities.
Chapter 9: Short Selling
As with previous chapters, Ricky starts by defining the concept of short selling. He then shows you a couple of examples and offers tips on how to identify short setups.
Chapter 10: ETFs
If you’ve been eager to explore the world of ETF trading, this chapter will guide you through it. You’ll get to know what exchange traded funds are as well as how they function.
Chapter 11: Trading Strategies
This chapter is all about actualizing the concepts that you’ve learned from previous chapters.
Specifically, you’ll learn how to plan and manage a trade. Examples of lessons taught in this section are:
- Choosing position sizing
- The art of scaling in and out of trades
- Locking in profits
Chapter 12: Risk Management
Figuring out how to manage risk is an integral part of trading. So this section is dedicated solely to risk management. You’ll get to learn how to cut losses, cope with emotions when trading, and the benefits of being disciplined.
How Much Does Learn Plan Profit Cost?
It currently goes for $500. Once you pay this amount, you’ll be given access to the whole Learn Plan Profit course and any other updates incorporated in the future.
What Are Others Saying About Learn Plan Profit?
The Learn Plan Profit seems to attract mixed reviews. Here’s a look at how other customers feel about this course:
Not detailed enough for seasoned traders
According to this buyer, the course is delivered by a proficient trader with a good understanding of the stock market. However, it doesn’t dive into the nitty gritty of trading strategies; hence, making it better for beginners.
Basic, well-structured course for beginners
Like the first reviewer, this client feels that Learn Plan Profit best suits beginners. Although the information is structured really well and easy to follow, it is also pretty basic.
Is the Learn Plan Profit Course Worth It?
Yes, it is.
If you are just getting started in the world of trading, then you’ll find this course incredibly valuable. It offers quality information at an affordable price.
My favorite part is the fact that one gets access to Ricky’s daily live trading sessions. Here, you’ll see him put different trading strategies into action as he trades in real time. Furthermore, you’ll become a part of a community of traders with whom you can share your ideas and challenges.
That said, this course is only tailored for beginner traders. If you’re an intermediate or seasoned trader, I wouldn’t recommend the Learn Plan Profit as it focuses trading basics.
